Netherlands
One of the most innovation-friendly business environments in Europe. WBSO is the most widely used R&D tax incentive in the EU. Strong MedTech and AI clusters around Eindhoven, Amsterdam and Delft.
Portugal
Portugal has significantly increased its R&D investment under the PRR Recovery and Resilience Plan. Lisbon is one of the fastest growing tech hubs in Europe, with attractive conditions for international companies.
Italy
Italy has one of the largest PNRR allocations in the EU. Invitalia and CDP Venture Capital are the main national innovation instruments, complemented by significant EU structural funds.
Cyprus
Cyprus offers one of the most efficient entry points to European funding for non-EU companies. The Research and Innovation Foundation runs frequent calls with accessible criteria and strong co-funding rates.
